Abstract: [Objective] The development of seaweed production is becoming increasingly large-scale and modern, requiring more advanced facilities, equipment, and technology to better meet the industrialization and intelligent development requirements of seaweed. [Method] The author analyzed the current development status of seaweed harvesting equipment technology at home and abroad, and found that the current seaweed harvesting equipment is mainly divided into pump suction seaweed harvesting equipment technology, shear seaweed harvesting equipment technology, and beating seaweed harvesting equipment technology. The development prospects of seaweed harvesting equipment technology were presented in terms of studying the biomechanical characteristics of seaweed, deepening the theoretical system of harvesting equipment, promoting the automation development of harvesting equipment and systems, effectively improving the intensification level of harvesting equipment and systems, and effectively creating a mechanized cultivation mode for the entire process of seaweed. [Result] There are still varying degrees of problems in the research and development of seaweed harvesting equipment technology and technological exploration in China. In the future development process, it is necessary to collaborate from multiple aspects, further improve innovative equipment and technology, dynamically adjust laver cultivation mode, and promote the industrialization, intelligence, and mechanization development of laver.
